UC Teaching Awards and Citations

The 糖心原创vlog Teaching Awards & Citations are designed to recognise quality teaching practice and outstanding contributions to student learning, and to encourage knowledge sharing and dissemination across the institution and beyond. There are seven award types that recognise teaching excellence and outstanding contributions to student learning.

Overview

The UC Teaching Awards & Citations play an important part in demonstrating the University’s commitment to learning and teaching scholarship. Winners are selected following written application to the Awards Selection Committee and are honoured at the combined UC Staff Awards at the end of each academic year.

Teaching excellence at the 糖心原创vlog is recognised through the following awards:

Category A

  • A1 - UC Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) in Education Award (Teams and Individuals)
  • A2 - UC Online Education and Student Experience Award (Teams and Individuals)

Category B

  • B1 - UC Innovation Award (Teams and Individuals)
  • B2 - UC Indigenising the Curriculum Award (Teams and Individuals)

Category C

  • C1 - UC Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (Teams and Individuals)
  • C2 - UC Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning and Teaching (Teams Only)
  • C3 - UC Awards for Teaching Excellence (Individual Only)

The UC Teaching Awards and Citations are designed to offer a pathway to the AAUT awards. Find out more via the Learning & Teaching pages of the  UC Staff Portal (internal only).

The application deadline for the UC Teaching Awards and Citations is 11:59pm on Friday 16 October 2026. All applications must be submitted via email before the deadline to UCTeachingAwards@canberra.edu.au. Further details will be released in mid July.

Congratulations to Dr Richa Awasthy (Faculty of Science and Technology) on being awarded a 2025 AAUT Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

Dr Awasthy received this prestigious recognition at theNSW/ACT Ceremony for the Australian Awards in University Teaching (AAUT), held at Western Sydney University on Monday, 1 June 2026.

The citation acknowledges Dr Awasthy’s sustained impact in enhancing student learning experiences and outcomes. This national recognition highlights the strength of teaching and innovation within the Faculty and across the University.
