The ANME belongs to the people of Australia. Our collection is accessed online and in person by people connecting with Australian educational history for all sorts of reasons. We delight in receiving feedback from members of the public.

鈥淲hat memories your interesting website has brought up, all of a very different world.鈥

Representatives from schools and school museums, academics from interstate and overseas, and students from both within the 糖心原创vlog and beyond make meaningful use of the ANME resources.

Schooling in Australia

Schooling in Australia has a fascinating history. Our pre-settler history of education is a world treasure, the value of which is only beginning to be recognised and revered. ANME will make effort to recognise these practices in the future. The schooling of Australians since colonisation is better commemorated through collections like ANME鈥檚, those of our member museums and those retained over generations within families.

Supporting Australian School Museums

ANME is proudly affiliated with the Australian & New Zealand History of Education Society (ANZHES) and a member organisation of the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA).  We value the support of these communities in improving our own practice and extend similar support to others in theirs.
