UC OPEN DAY FEST
Sat 20 Sept, 9am - 3pm
The Snow Scholarships offer more than financial support. They provide a place to call home, support when life gets challenging, and the chance to imagine a future that feels possible.
Snow Scholars will join an inclusive and diverse cohort, bringing together people from different backgrounds, experiences, ages, genders and academic journeys.
Through mentoring, shared learning and new networks, scholars gain support beyond the classroom 鈥 creating the space to focus on study, grow in confidence and shape a future for themselves, their families and their communities.
Each Snow Scholarship is valued at up to $30,000 per year, providing residential, academic and wellbeing support to help you focus on your future:
on-campus accommodation for 52 weeks each year (valued at approx. $15,000)
an annual stipend of鈥痑pproximately $10,000 to help with everyday living costs like food and personal expenses
travel and relocation support, including assistance with family visits and unexpected needs
support purchasing essential supplies for study
tutoring and academic support, provided on top of your regular course
health and wellbeing services, including GP visits, psychological counselling, and a gym or sporting membership
skill-building programs, including mental health first aid training, financial literacy, cultural awareness training, and support to help you land your first job

You'll receive on-campus accommodation at UC 鈥 giving you a safe and supportive space to live while you study.
This will include a standard room in a 5-bed share apartment for 52 weeks each year. Alternative rooms may be arranged to support accessibility or specific needs of individuals.
Through the scholarship program, you鈥檒l receive support to grow into something more. A confident leader, a bold thinker and someone ready to make a difference.
As a Snow Scholar, you鈥檒l take part in a holistic development program that includes:
First Nations cultural experiences
mentoring and workshops with inspiring leaders and entrepreneurs
opportunities for meaningful work experience
leadership training.
You're not expected to do it all on your own. As a Snow Scholar, you鈥檒l have access to support you need to stay on track, like assistance with your transition into university tutoring, help with academic placements and free medical, wellbeing and financial services.
This support is here to help you feel good, stay focused and make the most of your time at university 鈥 in your studies and beyond.
Located on campus, the Snow Centre is a dedicated space for Snow Scholars 鈥 a place to study, relax and feel at home.
With kitchen facilities and quiet study areas, it鈥檚 designed to support you throughout your time at university. Whether you need a moment of calm or a space to connect with fellow scholars, the Centre is where it all comes together.
You will be part of the UC community, a place of true belonging and connection, including the Ngunnawal Centre, Queer Space, Inclusion and Welfare teams, just to name a few. We will work closely with the Ngunnawal Centre to ensure we best cater to the alignment of study needs, support and success of UC's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
Our friendly staff are committed to better university access, participation, and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those from a diverse background.
Applications for students planning to commence their university journey in Semester 1, 2027 will open on 13 April. Please stay tuned.
